Glenfords Tool Centre have teamed up with Top Bike ANDRA (Australian National Drag Racing Association) Pro-Series Championship point leader Nitro Voodoo. Glenfords are Australia’s first and largest chain of specialist retail tool centres with stores in Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales.
Chris Matheson Team owner Rider said “Glenfords Tools are strong supporters of Australian Motorsport and have entered the partnership to continue to promote the Glenfords brand on a national basis”.
General Manager of Glenfords Tools Australia Mr Arno Bertonga said “Glenfords have 24 stores across Australia and are expecting to expand over the next 12 months. Glenfords Tool Centres are renowned for being the discounters of quality name brand power tools, hand tools, compressors, welders and machinery.
Matheson said “the new relationship is a natural fit to the Nitro Voodoo Team, as we only use quality reliable tools to maintain and service the race machine”.
Matheson went on to say “it was exciting to have such an iconic Australian company supporting the Team and a commitment not taken lightly by the Nitro Voodoo Team, as we strive to win the Australian Top Bike Championship”.
Matheson debut the new Glenfords logo at Round 3 of the Championships which was held last weekend Fri 13th & Sat 14th November at the Perth Motorplex. Matheson faced local WA hero Jay Upton in the final, however, lost with a lazy launch, clocking a 6.93 sec pass.
Despite being runner up, Matheson still leads the championship points ladder, with 295 ahead of Upton on 285 and Stevens on 255.
Round 4 will occur again at Perth Motorplex on 27th & 28th February. Matheson is confident of a good result now he is familiar with the track. http://www.glenfords.com.au
